Delving into geometric variations of the Cyrillic alphabet, I drew inspiration from "Towards an open layout: A letter to Volodya Yefimov," which intrigued me with the harmonious integration of circular forms in the classical Cyrillic version. Exploring typoteka.pl, I marveled at the Hebrew typeface Jaffa, resembling the Hebrew equivalent of Alphabet "a.r.," published by the Idźkowski & Sk-a foundry.
The project expanded with Ben Nathan from Israel contributing his expertise in crafting the native script. What began as a multiscript exploration now encompasses Greek and Vietnamese, resulting in Polin Sans—a historical journey through the nuances of Polish modernism, shaped by diverse cultural influences.
Designed by Mateusz Machalski and Ben Nathan, supported by Michał Gorczyca and Małgorzata Bartosik, Polin Sans stands as a testament to the fusion of artistic inspiration and cultural diversity.
